Well for those of you who were not there, what a great game of 15 man rugby;
DINNINGTON 19 v MOORTOWN 33 - tries by Chris Martin x2 Marc Docking Mark Wilkinson and Ally Jeelson and 3 Conversions by MarK Wilkinson.

As a coach I have never won at Dinnington and have been on the receiving end of some right hammerings but Moortown Colts 2009 / 10 laid that ghost to rest. Being 3 zero in games this year might make everyone think we have a magic formulae but really this is just the start for this team. We have not had a settled side as yet, new and returning players are still coming to terms with the way we want this team to play.

Our rugby has to be a brand of the opportunist with flair a dash of speed and a huge belief in the teams abilty and and resolve. All of which were on show today.

We did not choose a Mof M as this would have been unfair as there were exceptional performances from a number of players led by Chris Martin who scored 2 tries which is all the more remarkable as he had an outstanding game for the 1stXV yesterday.The pack relished the confontation with the large Dinnington pack and acquited themselves valiantly, big improvement on last week. Eddie Wilkinson returnee Kenroy Pattison and Lewis Peat were all notiable to day. New boy Charlie Fox settled into his role linking well with forwards and backs.

All in all a very good trip into the land of the giants that is South Yorkshire.............. we have now gone 3 games undefeated and gained bonus points in each of our games.

Training WEDNESDAY 6 - 00PM for forwards...... 6 - 45 meet for the all team members.Get there please, even if it is late.

Due to pitch problems created by the minis Acorn Tournament ( that takes me back) we are unable to play next week and have therefore decided to have a rest Sunday.
